Studio 60 trailer played during West Wing finale

For those who watched the West Wing finale (which I did and cried my eyes out!!!!) you got the added bonus of seeing an add for Studio 60!

It looks pretty great, I loved the music (hope that's going to be the theme) and the mood and the look of it all. Tim Busfield's shaved his beard which I think is a good thing for the show (I didn't look at him and see Danny) likewise did I not look at Matthew Perry and see Chandler. I did, however, look at Bradley Whitford and go "Josh! Get back to Washington this instant!"

The music seems to be pretty jazzy (which is good... because we've done rock-ish with Sports Night and orchestral with West Wing) as does the whole... feel of it all. Anyways, any thoughts?

It looked pretty fantastic. I especially liked the intro: "The creator of The West Wing... isn't done yet." Especially having just seen Sorkin at the Inaugural... it was a good time.

It looked great!! I keep hearing that Studio 60 will be a drama. But after seeing this trailer, either they are off on their marketing, or it's going to be more of a dramedy like Sports Night, which is what I was hoping for anyway.

All of Sorkin's shows have been a dramedy. But... at the end of the day you must technically be one, and Sports Night was a comedy and West Wing was a drama. Obviously Studio 60 will ultimately be a drama, but will be just as dramedic as anything else Sorkin does.

My very first thought was that I know I am going to have a very rough time seeing Bradley Whitford in a suit and not just sit back and wait for C.J. and Toby and Donna to walk in right behind him.

I'm sure I'll get used to it sooner or later, but it's going to be hard to get past "The West Wing" after seven years...

Absolutely can't wait for "Studio 60," though. Hoping it's not scheduled on the same night as "Grey's Anatomy." I will be devestated.

My first reaction was the same as others, "Josh! Do your job!" But, I think if I lay off on the WW (and belive me. After tonight, I'm going to HAVE to), and with the built in break between the two, I'll be able to differentiate the two.

(I still think I'll be want Bradley/Josh/Danny to say smart things about politics though)

The teaser I think was even better because we've all read the script. I laughed when Matt fell down, and my roomates didn't get the joke. Psh. Well, they need to be Sorkinized anyways.

I'm excited beyond words. I love the fact that I will have something to replace TWW in my television schedule. And what has Sorkin ever done that's bad?

This looks like a decidedly enjoyable show. A good cast! Good that Sorkin is moving away from political drama (well, at least trading Washington politics for Hollywood politics).

Yes.... Brad does *look* a bit like Josh, but in one scene bit he is holding a pair of glasses, and also... the way he delivered his line to Amanda Peet was very UN Josh like. Much more modulated and calm that Josh would have ever been in the same situation... I think what we will see is the natural extension of Josh, More leaning towards Brad's own character...

Just watched the WW finale and was psyched to not only see the trailer for Studio 60 but also a cameo of Sorkin. The cast of S60 looks great and with the lineup of talent as well as one of NBC's best time slots, it looks like a series that can't miss.

Great idea for a blog, btw. I'll be sure to bookmark and keep checking in from time to time.
